The “OSDS PROGRAM” is a system developed by AEI to integrate three key components of the services provided…

• DOMESTIC MANUFACTURING  – Initial Design review, prototypes and small quantity production.
• OFFSHORE MANUFACTURING – Tooling is transferred along with working CAM data to selected offshore supplier, saving customer tooling and maintaining the consistency in product.
• INVENTORY MANAGEMENT – AEI offers KAN BAN, JIT, AND VMI programs to customers.  Making low volume products with forecasted usage a candidate for low cost offshore manufacturing.

How it works?

Once an order is received, the customer sends CAM files to AEI, which are extensively reviewed against our DfM checklist.  Any missing, conflicting, or unclear information is documented and forwarded to customer within 24hrs of receipt of files.  Once approved there are two options:

1. Job is release into Domestic facility for prototypes or small production.
2. Files are immediately forwarded to one of our approved offshore suppliers for manufacturing. If order does not qualify for offshore sourcing AEI will provide a proposal to form an Inventory Management program, which may suit the customers needs.

Ordered is tracked on AEI’s internal Work in Progress software, with real-time information input from daily progress reports furnished by suppliers.

Once product is received, AEI performs all of the following:

• Percentage E. Test verification
• First Article and First Article Report
• Cross-section and Cross-section Report
• 100% Cosmetic Inspection
• Solderability Test with provision of Solder Sample upon request.

AEI handles all shipping and customs logistics with product supplied to our customers FOB Anahiem, Calfornia.
